We Need More LGBTQIA+ Creators Represented In Media

Socialyte and Lytehouse are proud members and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community.

While Pride may look a little different again this year, we proudly march in the form of our daily work as members and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community to not only affirm and protect the identities of queer folks around the globe but in solidarity with those who remain targets of violent hate. Today, there are 69 countries that criminalize homosexuality, and even in the United States, 2021 is already on track to be a record year for anti-trans legislation. While we've come a long way, we still have far to go.

As an agency and as our valued clients, we can strive to continue doing our part, not only during the month of June but every day of the year. We do so by bringing diverse, queer creators to the forefront in the campaigns we strategize and execute together. Simply put: the world needs more LGBTQIA+ people represented in media. The more we normalize true and equal representation, the more we challenge the systems that hinder queer folks. Let Pride not just be a marketing opportunity, but a reality check for the work that needs to be done to keep moving towards a more inclusive future.
